In the age of a diminishing welfare state, privatization, and neoliberal economy, the development of a city depends on market forces. In this reality, the local municipality struggles to protect the public interest, neglects social policies, and promotes an entrepreneurial-economic policy that accelerates the alienation between old and new residents, the poor and the rich, and social interests versus economic ones. public space has been transformed from a multidimensional space that can accommodate different human and social interactions into a space of consumption, capital accumulation, and profit maximization. The project suggests a plan for the Old Tel Aviv Central Bus Station area that fits the neoliberal reality, which would provide the encounter, the connection, and the spaces the city's residents need, without requiring substantial funding or consumer solutions.
