"The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has caused many casualties on both sides. Israel, in light of the bleak reality and following the sharp increase in terror attacks during the Second Intifada, suggested the ""solution"" of the West Bank Barrier as a temporary solution until a better alternative is found. However, it still remains a reality today. The wall was created to answer a particular need, but the question is whether that was the right solution, or whether the wall aggravated the problem and deepened the existing divides? Border zones are conflict zones by nature. Construction of a wall along the zones only worsens the schism. The project proposes an intervention and treatment in border zones by creating a common interest for both sides. It is an attempt to mend differences and create a platform for collaboration between the sides through the development and promotion of functions that are lacking on both sides of the border, building bridges instead of walls, which present an opportunity for change, reduce the conflict, and hopefully end it."
