"In recent years, the tourism world is changing rapidly, and private accommodation solutions gradually blur tourist and local space. Despite those transformations, city centers still feature hotels that represent an archaic conception of tourism – large and enclosed buildings that ignore the constructed area that surrounds them. A clear local example of the ""modernist hotel bubble"" is Hilton Tel Aviv and its surroundings, which are a kind of a ""peninsula"" that is completely disconnected from the urban logic. The project proposes a repeated use of the hotel building and a redesign of Gan HaAtzma'ut which surrounds it, as an urban link between the sea and the city. The new planning is based on a three-axis value system, which renders the entire area accessible to the public. The project exposes the foundations of the existing building and creates an innovative urban street that connects HaYarkon Street and the beach. Additionally, it updates the hotel's value system while preserving the structure. The new design aims to dismantle the ""Hiltonian peninsula"" and transform it into an integral part of Tel Aviv."
