על האדריכלות והפיתוח להתייחס לרוח המקום, למדבר ולשממה ולייצר אווירה שתבטא זאת. העיר ערד המתבססת על הקשר עם נוף המדבר הפראי מסביבה, כאשר בחלקה המזרחי המשקיף לים המלח שוכן מצפה מואב. הפוטנציאל הנופי והתיירותי של העיר מגולם במצפה זה, אך למרות זאת נותר מוזנח ונטוש. הפרויקט מציע שיקום והחייאת המצפה על ידי שילוב פיתוח נופי ומבני הנותנים מענה לתושבים ולתיירים כאחד. הניגודיות הנוצרת מהמפגשים בין המדבר לכרמים, בין הישן לחדש ובין הפרטי לציבורי מייצרים חוויה נופית ייחודית אותה מבקש הפרויקט לבטא. ההתמקדות התכנונית במבנה היקב מדגישה את הניגודיות על ידי מערכת התנועה והחללים בו, המאפשרים גם פעילויות ציבוריות בו.

Architecture and development must relate to the spirit of the place, the desert and the wilderness and create an atmosphere that expresses this. The city of Arad is based on the connection with the wild desert landscape around it, while in its eastern part overlooking the Dead Sea lies Mitzpe Moav. The scenic and tourist potential of the city is embodied in this observatory, but nevertheless remains neglected and abandoned. The project offers the restoration and revitalization of the observatory by combining landscape development and buildings that provide a solution for residents and tourists alike. The contrast created by the encounters between the desert and the vineyards, between the old and the new and between the private and the public, produces a unique landscape experience that the project seeks to express. The planning focus on the winery structure emphasizes the contrast by the movement system and the spaces in it, which also allow for public activities in it.

يجب أن تتطرق العمارة والتنمية إلى روح المكان، الصحراء والبرية وخلق جو يعبر عن ذلك. تعتمد مدينة عراد على التواصل مع المناظر الطبيعية الصحراوية البرية حولها، بينما تقع في الجزء الشرقي المطل على البحر الميت ميتسبيه موآب. الإمكانات الخلابة والسياحية للمدينة تتمثّل في هذا المرصد، ولكن مع ذلك بقي 0مهملاً ومهجوراً. يقترح المشروع ترميم وتنشيط المرصد من خلال الجمع بين تطوير المناظر الطبيعية والمباني التي توفر حلاً للسكان والسياح على حد سواء. المفارقة الناتجة عن المواجهات بين الصحراء وكروم العنب، بين القديم والجديد وبين الخاص ّوالعامّ، تخلق تجربة ذات مناظر طبيعية فريدة يسعى المشروع إلى التعبير عنها. يركز التخطيط على مبنى مصنع النبيذ على التباين بين نظام الحركة والمساحات الموجودة فيه، مما يسمح أيضًا بالأنشطة العامة فيه.
