Notes in Space is a project that explores the relationship between architecture and music. Both fields are influenced by culture, place, time, past and maintain a common dictionary of concepts. The experiences in both fields are universal and collective, this project examines the existing quality in music and translates it into tangible spaces while taking into account the laws, the mathematical and emotional planning of the music. In order to reach an architectural result, several tools are used: 1. Spectrogram – mapping the sound into three dimensions with reference to intensity, location, density and more 2. Analysis of a sheet music – understanding the composition and relationships (whole character, position in stave, graphic representation, etc.) 3. Decomposition of sound waves – an overview of sound waves in space and the isolation of each sound separately, a three-dimensional representation of each and reconnection in order to create tangible spaces
