The Wolfson complex is located at the junction between Tel Aviv-Yafo, Holon and Bat Yam. It is an interurban edge space that functions as the "backyard" of each of these cities from a physical and programmatic point of view. In addition, the complex is characterized by extensive physical separations; Ayalon Road and the Wolfson Interchange, which demonstrate the superiority of vehicles over pedestrians in the area. However, in this project the Wolfson Medical Center was recognized as the positive anchor in the complex. It is positioned next to the Holon-Wolfson train station and will be positively affected by planned transportation changes that will take place in the area. The planned changes include the construction of a metro station on the M2 line and the connecting intercity bike lanes. All of the above will make Wolfson Medical Center extremely accessible. The project is proposing to expand the Wolfson Medical Center outside its borders and develop a 'Health Campus' around it. The project integrates programs that support medicine, with an emphasis on planning for spaces that sustain walkability in and around its field.
