הפרויקט שואף לשחזר את השגשוג התרבותי של יפו בתוך מרקמה ההיסטורי של יפו העתיקה כפי שהיה לפני 1936. הקומפלקס כולל מוזיאון תת־קרקעי, ספרייה, תיאטרון, חללי עבודה משותפים וחללים ציבוריים, חלקם עם גגות ירוקים המשתלבים בנוף של גן הפסגה. העיצוב משלב אלמנטים אדריכליים מסורתיים – קשתות, לִיוואן ומשרביות – עם שפה מודרנית, במטרה לחזק את תחושת השייכות של הקהילה הערבית ולעודד מפגש בין דורות וקהילות.
The project aims to revive the cultural prosperity of Jaffa within its historical fabric in the Old City, as it existed before 1936. The complex comprises an underground museum, a library, an open-air theater, co-working spaces, and public areas — some featuring green roofs that blend harmoniously with the natural landscape of the hill.
The design intertwines traditional architectural elements — arches, the liwan, and Maharashtra — with a contemporary language, seeking to strengthen the sense of belonging among the Arab community and to foster interaction and dialogue between generations and across communities.
المشروع يهدف إلى استعادة ازدهار يافا الثقافي ضمن نسيجها التاريخي في البلدة القديمة، كما كان قبل عام 1936. يتألف المجمع من متحف تحت الأرض، ومكتبة، مسرح خارجي، ومساحات عمل مشتركة، فضلاً عن فضاءات عامة يعلو بعضها أسطح خضراء تنسجم مع المشهد الطبيعي للتلة. يجمع التصميم بين العناصر المعمارية التقليدية – الأقواس، واللِّيوان، والمشربيات – وبين لغة معاصرة، وذلك بغية تعزيز شعور الانتماء لدى المجتمع العربي وتشجيع التفاعل والتواصل بين الأجيال والمجتمعات ككل.
