A vision for urban renewal of the Florentin neighborhood, rooted in respect for its past and responsibility for its future. Once considered the margins of Tel Aviv, Florentin today is characterized by a unique urban fabric, a young population, active wholesale industry, and vibrant street life. Alongside this diverse and dynamic lifestyle, the neighborhood suffers from a lack of open spaces, recurring flooding during rainy days, and heavy traffic congestion. The project proposes a model of delicate renewal that does not rely on demolition, but rather on repairing and enhancing what already exists: opening rooftops and courtyards to create green spaces, prioritizing pedestrians in the design of streets and passages, implementing smart stormwater management, and integrating public and community institutions at the heart of the neighborhood. This vision will be realized while preserving the historical grid, the workshops, and the distinctive character of Florentin.
