הפרויקט מציע להחיות את הרעיון החינוכי, התרבותי והחקלאי של מקוה ישראל באמצעות פתיחתו לציבור הרחב, תוך שמירה על צביון המקום ופיתוח מבנים ופעילויות לטובת הקהילה — כולם יחד יוצרים מרחב שבו האדמה, הידע והאדם צומחים זה לצד זה.
Mikveh Israel, a historic agricultural school established over 150 years ago, is located at the heart of the Tel Aviv metropolitan area and is legally protected as a unique agricultural enclave. Today, it remains a closed compound, physically and socially detached from its urban surroundings. The area surrounding Mikveh Israel is undergoing a rapid process of development and intensive construction, leading to a growing shortage of open and accessible public spaces — a situation that underscores the need to preserve and cultivate green areas. Within the Mikveh Israel grounds lie historical, agricultural, and social landscapes, rich with cultural and ecological values.
The project seeks to revive Mikveh Israel’s original educational, cultural, and agricultural vision by opening it to the wider public, while preserving its character and developing new structures and activities for the benefit of the community — together forming a space where land, knowledge, and people grow side by side.
