הפרויקט מבקש להציע מודל להתחדשות עירונית בנחלת יצחק, שכונה תל־אביבית המצויה במתח בין מטען חברתי והיסטורי עשיר ובין מגמת הציפוף המואצת של מרכז העיר. מתוך חזון לחיזוק המרקם המקומי מבלי לוותר על צפיפות עירונית גבוהה, גובשה גישת תכנון המבוססת על הדיאלקטיקה של ריבוי וצמצום כעדשה לקריאה ותכנון של המרחב. הניתוח המרחבי והחברתי חשף את נחלת יצחק כ"חצר פנימית" רב־שכבתית, הפועלת במקביל בקנה מידה שכונתי, בלוקי ומבני. התכנון המפורט של הבלוק המרכזי בשכונה מבקש לממש חמישה עקרונות: אדריכלות נושאת זיכרון, רשת קהילתית מבוזרת, מגוון מרחבי התקהלות, תחביר עירוני הליכתי, והרחבה רב־מפלסית של המרחב הציבורי. יחד הם מציעים מודל של עיר צפופה אך אנושית המעצימה את זהותה המקומית מבלי לוותר על הצפיפויות הנדרשות במרכז המטרופולין העכשווי.
The project proposes a model for urban renewal in Nahalat Yitzhak, a Tel Aviv neighborhood situated between a rich social and historical legacy and the accelerating densification of the city center. Guided by a vision to strengthen the local fabric without compromising on urban density, the design approach is based on the dialectic of Multiplicity and Reduction — used as a lens for reading and shaping space. Spatial and social analysis revealed Nahalat Yitzhak as a multilayered “inner courtyard,” operating simultaneously on neighborhood, block, and building scales. The detailed design of the neighborhood’s central block translates this understanding into five principles: architecture as a bearer of memory, a decentralized and hierarchical community network, a diversity of gathering spaces, a modular and walkable urban syntax, and a multi-level expansion of the public realm. Together, they outline a model for a dense yet human city that reinforces its local identity while accommodating metropolitan growth.
