The invasion into maritime space, as a result of economic pressures and the erosion of the maritime border status, pose a serious threat to the delicate fabric of life that exists in the marine environment. This issue places conflict in the planning processes – managing a variety of economic and strategic considerations in the face of high ecological sensitivity. The Seascape project examines the definition of the sea as a barrier and the boundaries of the protected and the exposed, while placing the individual between the familiar and the unknown. The project offers a 'city of aquaculture', while creating a new maritime landscape that is an opportunity for economic growth along with environmental benefits. The floating colony, whose anchors constitute marine habitats, strives for a harmonious relationship between man and his environment, as an intermediary between the sea and the land, and between the economy and nature.
