In this project we have chosen to focus on the problem of garbage and the process of material economics which is linear. We expressed the proposed solution by planning at an urban and architectural level. We chose to focus on Haifa, where a new neighborhood will be planned in the area of ​​the port that is currently perceived as a polluted area and detached from the city. In the proposed plan, part of the port area will be returned to the city, allowing access to the sea and the Kishon River. In this new neighborhood we have designed an urban environment that expresses the principle of the circular economy, reduces garbage, raises awareness of the problem, and exploits natural resources. In the heart of the neighborhood lays a campus with an increase of mixed use, including an RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel) factory – that produces energy (electricity) from garbage. In designing the campus, we focused on integrating the factory into an urban environment, alongside community life and connection with nature
