This project is psychiatric treatment institution whose main purpose is to bring together a population with a mental disorder and a "normative" population. The project includes a commercial urban center, accommodation areas for staff and the mental disorder population, and above all, the psychiatric institution, and the urban park. The message I want to deliver is the change in the social organization by changing the physical location and especially in the changing social perception. The planning set out to change the social profile of people with the mental disorder as leading principle. The treatment of the mental disorder will be inside of the layer that is above the new urban center, while creating controlled opportunities for different encounters and thereby producing a perceptual change from one to the other. The project is planned in the city of Ashdod, in the A district (the north part of the city) and covers a plan of 34 dunams. As a local, I believe that Ashdod and the chosen planning area, is a fertile ground for planning approaches with an educational agenda that calls for truth and a desire to eliminate a situation of social gaps resulting from lack of awareness and recognition of disadvantaged populations in society
