The project focuses on Michaels Square in Tel Aviv, which was planned as part of Geddes's plan, and was established in 1934. Today, the area of the square is neglected and therefore the public doesn’t recognize it as a public square. All this despite its central, crowded and active location. The main finding that led me to the project’s program is the cultural axis, with the square at its center. The project offers a new design of Michaels Square and the buildings around it. In the center of the square, I’m offering a Cultural Museum, which will be part of the cultural axis. The design creates an introverted square with active facades. These facades define the square, in addition to landscape development, while referring to the environmental elements that impair its functioning today. The planning uses the great potential inherent in the square, improves the public and scenic space in the city and makes it more meaningful and active for the benefit of the residents.
